An Ardent Wish

Recently I attempted—alas, unsuccessfully—to get the following short note published in a local newspaper. It expresses a very strong wish I have had over the years.

On the occasion of the 90th birthday of Mr Lee Kuan Yew, I have an ardent wish, and it is this: that Mr Lee will cap the closing years of a long, illustrious life with an act of supreme magnanimity, that is, promise that if those Singaporeans who had been forced to go into permanent exile abroad, decide to return to Singapore, they will not be prosecuted, or punished in any way. Some of them must be very old now, and would want to spend their last years with family and loved ones in their home country.

What, does Singapore belongs to LKY….and even on death bed, must seek his permission.

Why, then do we need a President, Prime Minister or AG Chambers.

those who are living overseas can always come back to SG, as long as these people are willing to give up their western passports.

He’s not called God of no mercy for nothing. Once you displease or hurt his feelings…you are done for. Forgiveness is not a word in his dictionary. He will despise and hate you till the end of time! That’s Harry Lee Kwan Yew, m/90, the first PM of S’pore and the so-called modern founder of first-world city-metropolis called Singapore. An official autopsy should be done on LKY upon his demise just to find out for posterity’s sake……besides the pacer, balloons, shunts, what-not, whether this man also has an organic heart? And if not, what did he used for a heart? A miniature V8 stainless steel battery-motor?
